Not sure if this thread goes here or anywhere else, but here it goes.
So the post known as "You cant ignore it forever" by the meeper Fasehed( @fasehed ) goes exactly with a point I've been trying to make for months.
I have been asking for a KitPvP dedicated mod for a WHILE. I make a modreq and 25 minutes later:
{mod}: Hi, What's the problem?
{thedarkeon}: Lets see...400 YEARS ago...there was a hacker by the name of {______}.
{mod}: Oh. Is he still on?
{thedarkeon}: He was on for 20 minutes but he left 300 YEARS ago...
This is the problem. I CHANT in Global chat. HACKER IN KIT HACKER IN KIT.
{Everyone on server}: File a modreq thedarkeon

The modreq has been filed but how long does it take for my modreq to see its justice? Could we have a mod or helper dedicated to only kit? I mean, I would apply for that position and stay only in kit but they've closed helper apps. I have filed/reported so many hack complaints to mods/helpers/admins that its ridiculous. Only reason I don't report on forums is because my pc is slow and by the time I do file it, then the hacker is gone and justice isn't really served. They've already done their damage, wrecked my hard earned KDR, and probably won't return to the server.

I just don't feel it's needed. Yeah it's annoying but I'm not sure what you want us to do - even if you apply you'll have other responsibilities as a helper.
Even if you were made into a kitpvp only staff, there is no way you can be on 24/7.
How many people could sign up for this job? How many are actually qualified? How many can represent the server correctly?
How many would even want to apply? What about how many people would want to apply that are on in the wee hours where there are less staff?
Yeah, it sucks that people can't be on all the time.
But then again I don't think enough people would be willing to do this job to justify it. I don't think enough people are going to want to spend 90% of their play time in kitpvp.
We can add the player to our watchlists but sometimes that's all we can do and I myself will apologize on behalf of the team for the issues related to this.
You can always, ALWAYS report on forums, poke a staff on TS, or anything. We may be able to get to it, and even if we don't and you have evidence they will still be banned.
Again, I apologize for the issues.
(Also is this a rant thread or a suggestion? If it's a suggestion I can move it to the suggestion thread and maybe it'll get more notice.)

I see your point. But I would be that one staff member. If I was to become staff hypothetically. Plus with many other staff on...what's the need if other responsibilities unless absolutely requested it needed or in the event there is no staff on? Plus I am going to be 18 soon which means I am available much more often then I was a year ago. Hypothetically saying. @Muunkee

I would actually want to apply for this. Whether or not I get accepted I would apply as it is a problem I would want to help and fix.

No problem my man. Great minds think alike. Me and you could realistically help make kitpvp a safe place for all. What about a kit task force? That would be nice...but yeah. We'd both apply if we could.

Lol ohhhh okayyyy. So what about a new thing where there can be a /kmodreq where its only kitpvp requests and maybe like 1 or 2 staff could be in charge of that and deal with the kit requests if they pop up before taking on any other requests?

That's not fair, really. We go in order. It's a wait-your-turn type deal. Some modreqs take 2 minutes, some can take hours, we don't really control that.
It's unfair to make a kit person wait because there are other modreqs, it's unfair to make other modreqs wait because there are kit ones. What happens if there's only one staff on?

I totally see your point. Why are helper apps even closed? And I just thought of another rank thinga majiggy. What if the lowest applyable rank was a rank called Trusted in which they could read modreqs but they could only have instant access to Mods? They wouldn't have the same powers as helper or any other staff rank but they had ability to view mod reqs and instant communication to say...a mods only ts chat room to report to mods any issues and help out where ever needed. Then in due time they would get promoted to helper and so on so forth

@Muunkee in regards to what he said...what if we did in fact create a such rank called trusted and since they can't do anything but read modreqs, what if they were on top of things in kit and maybe they could contact a mod, or which ever mod is available and had them come to kit because mods have many other things to focus on. Or maybe just a trusted rank in general for the sole purpose of what I mentioned before

You don't even need to record evidence for hacking bans anymore.

His point is basically that hackers in kitpvp are so ubiquitous that if staff members come as soon as there's a hacker, there won't be time for other staff-related stuff.

Well, well. Look at what we have here.

In our defense, even with our decently sized team, we remain busy. When players shout in global "Theres a hacker in kit" Most of the time, someone asks you to modreq it. Having said theres a hacker in kit, ques for the hacker to either log off, or toggle the hacks off, making it harder for us to catch them. Which is why we ask you to make a modreq. Half the time we come there and waste our time because the hacker knows we've already seen it due to it being said globally, and is gone by the time we get there.

On a side note, a dedicated kitpvp moderator would be useless, moderation staff are meant for all servers not specifically just one. Each one of us is trained accordingly and work to the best of our abilities.

P.S If none of us are there, or are online, record it, and report it. It's not hard.

There are already enough ranks of staff imo. Helper, mod, super, admin. Not counting other staff. It's enough steps.
There already are staff channels free for any staff member to use.

Not needed? My alts have been banned over 14 times in a single week due to false bans. Obviously the team doesn't know what they're doing

I mean...truelio. trulio...I don't literally shout in global hacker in kit. I really just file a modreq first. But even then...with 124 people on...give or take 30 afks and due to the difficulty of the current modreqs and how many are actually filed at any given time. And 8 mods on...divide all that and take the fact that it may take 10-15 minutes plus to get a response from a mod...something should in fact be done...but you guys are a bit right tho. Just a bit.
