the last thread you made, about /feed, did not have any effect on the economy considering food is spawnable and free.

So you are touching on the point of why this needs to be done which is that most items in the game are spawnable and rather free. I mentioned in my last post how there needs to be some drain on the surplus of items and spawners that have built up over the life of meepcraft. This would provide some alternative drain on the number of spawners which inturn will provide a drain on the number items created from them.
Also I feel it important to mention that changes in the economy take time and criticizing a one day old change on its impact to the economy is silly.
How would you be able to use this item if you don't have a spawner to craft it in the first place?

In addition to a crafting reward you could have it as a vote reward or purchase-able in the shop. But once one person has the enchantment it will allow for more spawners to be mined and more enchantments to be created.
