Skyblock questions

I haven't played on Meep in a long time. I noticed skyblock is all new. Can anyone tell me if these will work in skyblock.

Do invisibility potions work in skyblock
iron farm using iron golems
gold farm using nether portals
Nether looked like 2 towers, is that it or if I move my portal will it be like the old nether?
My mob grinder has a slow drop rate of mobs. Seems like none 99% of the time, is that normal?

The nether is what it is. And i think the mob grinders is nerfed because i know someone else that has had a lot of trouble with those.
