FALLOUT 4 WILL NOT STOP CRASHING HELP

ALRIGHT I SPENT MONEY ON THIS GAME AND I WILL NOT LET IT BE WASTED.
For 3 days, I have scoured every troubleshooting page, youtube video, EVERYTHING about this issue. It will not end!

So, here's the thing. I open Fallout 4. It launches. I press play. The menu screen of the game comes on, with the tearjerking music and panning scenes. I press "new". I press enter.

THEN IT TURNS BLACK AND GOES BACK TO MY DESKTOP.

I'm running on Windows 8.
I believe I have updated my drivers, made it Windows 8 compatible, changed resolution settings, changed to windowed mode, and checked the validity of the game cache.

Can some techy person help me pls because i am clueless and sad and my father is angry at me and i want to cry :(

tbh this happened to me on another game when it's minimum reqs finally passed what my graphics card could update to

I'm not much of a PC gamer and I know you tried to address the issue of being out dated but honestly it is probably just the software you are trying to run on. I would recommend getting a new PC/using a different one.
