The pet was purchased before this hologram was implemented. The 'hologram' is clearly stating that ''We do not refund for broken pets''
My pet wasn't broken, the server was. It's the servers responsibility to be working efficiently 100% of the time. Due to the server crashing, I lost my $40, (1.5mil) pet. This is serious, if someone is going to spend $40 for an in-game item you'd expect some sort of customer service.
The fact that someone spends $40 for an in-game item, and looses it because of the game itself is rubbish. If this is how the 'server' handles such refund request why even play? I know people spend thousands of dollars on CS:GO skins, that's great, good for them. But the chances of them loosing it because of a game issue are slim to none. So do they have to worry about that happening? No.
If players can loose pets from servers crashing, and staff aren't going to do anything about it. Then why tf have them in the first place? It's not the players fault they loose their pets. It's the servers. The server has a responsibility to refund and fix these issues. Not the player. If this is how such request are handled for a small group of players, then good luck on large amounts. Players are not going to stay if you have items that cost millions of meebles and a 60% of being lose due completely from the servers fault.
