I don't understand how this would be helpful in anyway. /res is a single person command. You /res yourself or /res player to get their res info so I do not really understand what you want here.

To check if people on your /resident friend's list is online.
You type /t online to check online town residents.
/res online would check online people on your resident friends list.
This is actually a really good idea, best thing I've seen to shift something into a reasonable friends list. Not sure on feasibility on it.
