Lower town buying prices

We need to lower town buying prices to 175k I know we are a town server but 250k is a lot of money to start a town I mean we could have a lot more towns if we lower the price of towns and even better yet add a 3rd towny world delta and add a new command where u can have town courts and people can get trials have town councils add more commands we are the biggest towny server after all other servers are adding more towny stuff so we should too all I'm saying is that meepcraft needs to expand rabidly we used to have 800 people on at one time now we have 75-240 players on a time that's huge decrease if we want to grow make bigger shops and add cheaper ranks add more staff members and if we do this we could earn more money i mean look at us now meepcraft is falling people are quitting a lot more often we have a bad spawn that's spread out parkour is down HG and hunger games and infected have been down almost a month now meepcraft is 100% dying we have had 1 administrator resign and we can't ignore the truth that meepcraft is falling apart we still have time to save this server by cleaning are act up and plz make it where no one swears this is the truth plz don't lock this thread down. -mrnukeluke

The higher price helps balance the economy and the price is good right now. Also meep is not falling and that poll has nothing to do with the suggestion ..

Meepcraft falling is not a related issue to the prices of towns and I don't really get why you're acting like it is.
Anyways, 250K isn't really a lot of money plus you get 50K 'back' as it's automatically inserted into the town bank.
I don't really think this is needed.

There's a lot going on in this suggestion, what exactly are you suggesting? Simply lowering the town prices?

I actually like how it costs more. Luke, it's no secret, but you're broke. (Last I checked) it isn't that hard to get the 250k. You may say, "but you're a millionaire, of course it's easy". But not for that reason. Since you can get 10k a day, vote for 25 days. Easy. But, we need a much better way on educating people on taxes and upkeep.

-1 First of players have always been saying meep was falling, they have for years. it's NOT. We don't need to lower prices, we have enough towns now if everyone wanted to make one the town world would be WAY to more crowded.

Just my thoughts:
-1 town prices should be more expensive due to the amount of towns already made...

- we shouldn't add a third towny world - we should invest in a one towny server. ( or make alpha and beta separate worlds meaning separate balance etc.

If anything, I personally think towny prices should increase. Not just the cost of making towns but for plots/outposts/etc. Towny worlds are already flooded with a lot of towns. There's no need to bring in more.

Town prices will not help the server gain popularity in anyway what so ever. In fact, this would make it worse. Because everyone will be buying their own town and people who have towns will have no residents left in them. And also the ones who made new towns will have no one in them. Lose-lose situation. -1

towns should cost more but not taxes I think taxes should be lowered on plot like instead of 65 make it 25 but have the price of a town at 500k or something high so it counter acts the tax prices

Actually, even with that, I think it may not be enough. Maybe nation prices should be increased to reflect towns. So like it would cost 1k for every town in your nation or something like that. Many towns abuse nations by gaining a huge boost in plots allowing small towns to claim more plots than they normally would with residents. Thus, I think it would be logical to increase the cost of nation tax.

Also, I don't think town taxes for plots need a decrease. If anything, if the nation tax thing doesn't go through, it needs to be increased to help nerf large towns from claiming a large amount of land.

Well see theres a problem plot tax has nothing to do with claiming land to a large town with rich people its the 1k it costs to claim the plot or 5k to claim the outpostI mean a person with say 65mil can claim up to 13000 outposts before they run out of money and 65000 plots

Well, can't we increase it all? Just increase nation costs, increase town claiming costs, and increase town taxes. Yes I know that can make it difficult for smaller towns to function, but it will help against one man towns claiming everything. Maybe if it is possible, we can make the cost of town plots dependent on how many residents you have in your town. If you have only yourself as a resident in your town, the cost to claim a plot would be like 10k. And with each additional resident, the town claim costs drop by 100 Meebles until capping out at 1k. This will stop small towns with huge nations from claiming a large amount of plots. And this isn't a lot of if you are a new player. By voting everyday, you can get a min of 10k per voting session, allowing you to claim a plot a day. It slows down the town growths to a manageable level.

While it is nice to be able to afford a town we want to avoid towns falling. So if we lowered the price more people would make towns and people don't realize the work running a successful town takes and therefore the town falls. Now I don't feel like we need a ton of fallen towns littering the towny wild, as there are enough of them as it is. It is better if a player joins the server, joins a town, learns how towns work, saves meebles, and is capable of running a successful town then players buying towns knowing nothing about them and losing them the next day or even week. I think the current town prices are just fine for these reasons.

The town prices are the price they are to avoid an abundance of fallen towns. Therefore we are denying this suggestion.
