So, right now it's 7 days.

I don't want this in my town for 7 days.

The owner of this plot broke, not 1, not 2, but 3 rules.

Still a 7 day warning.

We need to reduce this to 1-3 days, I'd be fine with 3-5 days.

But this rule is to long of a wait now.

I'm basically saying we lower the Plot Violation Warning Time.

Not the resident rule warning time.

If they broke one of your town rules that stated that your would kick them if they broke it, then can't you kick them instantly?

For Rule Violation - If a player has violated a towny rule, or your town’s rule, you can kick them according to the way described in your /t spawn with signs. If no signs are present, a 7 day warning must be given

You can't just kick them instantly. You need to give them a warning. The reason it's seven days is because it gives the plot owner time to move their stuff out of town. If they're inactive for three days, and the Plot Violation warning was actually three days, the plot owner will lose all of their items and won't get it back because of that. They'll be very, very upset.

You can't just kick them instantly. You need to give them a warning. The reason it's seven days is because it gives the plot owner time to move their stuff out of town. If they're inactive for three days, and the Plot Violation warning was actually three days, the plot owner will lose all of their items and won't get it back because of that. They'll be very, very upset.

Then... there's no issue. If your town states you can and will immediately kick them if they break a rule, then you can kick them legally. if a staff asks you about the issue, just point them to the sign at spawn.

As long as you follow the rules stated you can kick people for violating your towns rules.

In this situation as long as you follow these rules you should be ok.

For Rule Violation - If a player has violated a towny rule, or your town’s rule, you can kick them according to the way described in your /t spawn with signs. If no signs are present, a 7 day warning must be given
You must have rules clearly written at your /t spawn and the actions you take upon violating these rules. You must have evidence that they committed the infraction.
Any changes to the rule require a 7 day notice, and/or those rules do not take effect for 7 days after the alteration
