GIMP is great, but it is not as intuitive and featured as Photoshop. It is a great alternative though and I do use it when I use my netbook running Ubuntu 14.04.

The crack basically means it makes the file in such a way that it lets you use the application without paying for it. Some don't need cracks and you can just download it, but some do. you can achieve the same thing with movies and games. It's very much illegal, but so many people do it. No one cares.

But the money in the bank does not duplicate, once it's been stolen nobody else can get access to it. Data is just a bunch of 1s and 0s that can be copied, duplicated, manipulated, etc.. Besides, Adobe gets so much money from volume licensing and independent professional artists who can actually afford Adobe products that us plebians pirating it barely makes a dent in their profits.
