So, recently I have had this thought of what we should add and also I have been playing on my new Wii U which I got for Christmas. I have been playing on Super Mario 3d World and I thought, we should make a 'minigame' based on that.
I have made a demo world and found a resource pack to with it. I have collected the appropriate music for the game as well as a overworld hub with everything needed on signs in. I have planned this out so it will work and will hopefully be the most enjoyable it can be.
Here is the game:
Backstory
(Name, you decide it) is at it again! This time, he hasn't gone for the Princess. Instead he landed in a strange place this time called Meepcraft. In search of something, he came across a player by the name of Fuzzlr. He has kidnapped him and taken him to his castle in the sky!
Aim
It is your job to go after (Name) and get Fuzzlr back home to Meep!
Saw your way though missions and levels of increasing difficulty on your quest to Fuzzlr. Collect all 3 stars in each mission to move on to the next and remember to end the missions of with a leap of faith onto the top of the flagpole! Hurry, before it is too late...
Mechanics
The players have a maximum of 5 minutes per stage to complete the level and if the level is a parkour level, they only have 100 seconds to complete it. There are enemies in the stages of which the players can kill (once the stage has been left, the stage resets the mobs. This way, the mobs will be there every time someone starts the stage).
In each level, there is a 3 hidden stars of which the players have to collect to proceed onto the next stage with increasing difficulty. Not only will there be collectibles, but a points system with the green stars being worth 2,000 each, the stamp being worth 4,000 (not necessary to find) and the top of the flag pole being worth 5,000 and the bottom being worth 1,000.
There will be a hidden box in some of the levels of which I will show you and the player must right click on the box to be teleported to a separate smaller stage to collect a star. There is a small parkour stage in there. Once they collect the star, they still have their collectibles and they are teleported to the nearest floor to the box.
In each level, there can be up to 4 players (Can be more or less) and it is a team effort to collect all the items (Stars) but to end the stage, each player must touch the flagpole.
There will be a hub world with portals to all the stages in there (Over world themed). The players for completing the stage will get 250 meebles (or more/less depending on the situation) and for defeating the final castle 25,000 meebles will be awarded to the player. The players however, will only be able to collect the meebles from each stage once a day. So, after the day is done, the players will be able to go back into the stage and redo all the stages to get the money.
Reason?
A lot of players have suggesting minigames to play on the server and they have mostly been denied. This game will serve a lot of players at the same time and it will also be a way to gain money. It is a long game to therefore it cannot be classed as a minigame but it would take a long time to complete. This means that players will be occupied completing the game. From what I have seen, there has been no super mario style adventure games on any server (unless there is some really big obvious one which I am n00b for not seeing. Seeing that Super Mario is such a popular game, a lot of people would come and try it in minecraft and because of the length of this game, the players would most likely stay on the server. It would be a way to attract more players and with youtubers now looking at minigames, they would likely be attracted to the game to play which in our case, is free advertising.
Don't hate it till you try it ;)Also, I would like to point out that if any of the staff would like to see the Demo world and the concept of how it would work, contact me in game or on the forums. I most likely wont be on ts.
