Alpha towns would decline/fall and some players would quit because of this.
This was one moment. Please do this over a period of time then report to me the conclusion, if alpha has more, then I will +1 this.

Alpha almost always dominates over Beta. I would say 85% of the time, Alpha sees more players at a time, the two worlds are tied, or there are not very many people on to make the argument. The only resaon I stay out of Alpha is because it looks ugly. It haf to be regenerated after a glitch happened. My lovely desert and jungle turned into some hills, mountains and plains.
Also, it's just been a lot easier to run the Beta town for some reason.
@Deinen made a really good point with us being a hub and including Towny within our little hub. It describes us more than "Towny Server" does.
I also really love the idea of permanent towns, and being able to vote for people into positions. While it would more or less become a popularity contest in some areas, this is something I haven't seen before in my adventures. It would be really neat to see this. Those who don't like it can stick to Alpha and Beta :).

How is our towny different than any other server's towny? We have some customization to it here and there, but not a whole lot. I could go to another towny server, or build my own towny server and have basically the exact same thing Meep does. If it were possible for our lovely coders and techs to find out a way to make a new custom towny plugin that was very different than the one out there currently, we could then call ourselves a unique Towny experience.
Also, to those saying Charlie, no. Tis not military code, this is greek alphabet. Technically, the next would be Gamma, but gamma reminds me of brightness when mining. So, Delta is the next in the series and just sounds overall appealing. Don't know why.

To those thinking people would leave, I actually think a new towny plugin and features in a new world with everything else left in-tact might bring some of our old players, who got bored, back and bring in some new players looking for a unique towny. Obviously, this new world would take some attraction from the other worlds, for maybe a few weeks, but then others would drift off into Alpha and Beta.
+1 to the idea overall, and I think if this were to be accepted or put on Trello, there should be more suggestion threads put up about the different ideas in here and see those expanded from different view points to see what we can bring together as a community.
