Introduction: Hello Meepians, my name is 2004grevous (a.k.a Eikichi_Onizuka_) and I’m a 15 year old who lives in Greece. I’m in my first grade of high school, although I don’t really like school, so I focus my time and energy on other things that I enjoy, which include: English lessons (My English is pretty bad), playing video games, and doing sports. I’m a really athletic person, although I’m not very good at most of the sports I play. However, 2 years ago I started Freestyle Wrestling and found that this is a sport that I’m actually pretty good at, and really enjoy. Now I’m training and trying my best to be selected to participate in a competition in a year from now. Other than sports, I also enjoy reading and listening to music. I read just about any book-genre, although for music I have a strong passion for metal.
I joined Meepcraft in the middle of July 2012, and was instantly taken back by the large player count and all the things to do. I made friends and joined towns, and ended up becoming assistant in one. Unfortunately, the mayor quit and so the town fell soon after. I found a new town shortly after that, however a few days later, Old Meep met it’s end. A few weeks later I was forced to quit Meep due to computer problems. I visited Meep from time to time, although in the middle of 2014 I officially came back. There were lots of new players to the server by now, and so I made lots of new friends and joined a new town. I’m still in that same town I joined, now as the mayor, as teakizz99, the previous mayor, quit.
Why should you be Helper? -Experience
I have been in Meepcraft for quite a long time and I have seen the progression of the server as time goes by. I have experienced many events such as the reign of CrueltyGaming/the fall of Old Meep and watched it rise once again.
Almost for the whole of my time in Meep, I have had a town staff potition. This did not only gave me experience in towny commands but also the ability to interact effectively with players, teaching them the basics of the server and making them feel welcomed both in my town and the server.
-Involvement
Even though my In-Game activity has decreased a bit the past month due to me studying, I am very active on the forums, trying to participate effectively in any interesting discussions going on. Also, as I am always looking for new residents to join my town, my eyes are always pointed on the chat; a place where people usually ask questions to which I always do my best to answer.
-Work Ethic
Even though I am not like that In-real-life (I get distracted easily), as Meepcraft points out my interest I am always concentrated on what I should do at the moment. When it comes to doing something that I am passionate about, I will put all my effort into the task and make sure that the job is done well- and helping others is one of the things I really enjoy.
-Dedication
Even though I have not played in many servers, Meep is the only one that has managed to hook me like that, and especially for that long amount of time. The server is truly amazing and the community is awesome and unique.
What are your weaknesses? Immaturity/Self control: Every now and then, I would act a bit stupidly and do things that a 15-year old wouldn’t do, or say things that I would regret after some seconds (not anything offensive, just immature). , I am trying to change this by re-thinking what I want to say; I believe I actually have made a big progress already but still not good enough.
Lack of knowledge of Helper commands: Even though I have been a Moderator for a short amount of time in another small Skyblock server, this was almost 2 years ago. Back then I was unsure about what I should/could do with my abilities and ended up helping no one.
However, I have no experiences with Prism and other tools that staff use, though I am willing to try my best to learn what I need to learn if I do get the position.
TeamSpeak: If accepted, I will find a way to manage to do the interview and attend staff meetings, however I feel uncomfortable talking with “strangers” (nothing personal guys :P ), as English is not my native language.
Despite this, I have managed to go on teamspeak and talk to some people a few times (mostly my old mayor) and managed to communicate pretty well I believe. However, when in a big group of people, I would get really anxious and feel uncomfortable.
