Say that there's many inactive players in your town (/t online can show when the players were online in the town). You use /t online to track down the inactive players that have been gone for 2 weeks+. If /t online is global, like I said, it can show all the times the players in town were last on.

This is actually not what I meant. /t online only shows who's online at the moment, and I think that's good.
Well the thing is that i do not see why you would need it. Like give me a situation were this would be usefull.

I think it would come in handy if you wanted to have a town gathering or something. If /t online was cross-server, then I could easily see who is or isn't online. I understand that I could /seen everyone in my town, but in my case, I have over 100 residents, so /seen-ing everyone would be insanely tedious. Also, just logically, it makes sense that if your /tc message is cross-server, then the /t online should be too, that way you know who's "listening in"
edit: I don't really think it matters to see what world they are in, although that might be kind of nice (but it might be confusing to format that)
