I don't have a clue how to do stocks think it would be good to have a tutorial

I know that Fuzzlr made a post about updates one month and it kinda had a vague description about stocks as well as a link to something that I assume is supposed to explain stocks. I think this would be a great idea, because I know a bit about stocks, but I think it would be great to have at least a detailed forums thread about how to use them.

You have the entire library of human knowledge at your finger tips something deemed impossible a decade ago, google it, research it, not everything in life is going to be handed to you. Even if a tutorial was made 99% of people would skip/not do it, forget it, or not even know what stocks were in the first place.

Sorry if I sound arrogant but it just frustrates me when people don't take the time to think about something for a few seconds and realize they can solve there own problems by themselves.

Even if a tutorial was made 99% of people would skip/not do it, forget it, or not even know what stocks were in the first place.

Stocks are a really cool feature, and people aren't going to take the time to google it if they don't even know what stocks generally are. If you went on a server which had some different feature, and you were confused about what it was, you wouldn't google it.

I would def google it. If I was confused about something I would first ask someone on the server what his/her idea on the subject was. After that they'd probably direct me to either ''googling it'' or giving me a brief summary about it.

If there is something I don't know I will take the time to find more information about it. Stocks are a complex, complicated thing to understand. No one in the game will be able to explain all of it to you, that's why you need to take the time to look things up by yourself.

Go in game and follow the instructions the stock trader gives you. Read up on it. Actually try.

The problem is you're too lazy to get up and read the instructions. The stock market requires research and thought and patience. You have an entire world of information at your fingertips - use it.

Large amounts of work to research. Large time periods to wait. Why do stocks?
You're young. You have time to spend, time to wait, and time to recover from losses. All you have are advantages that you only lose with age as retirement creeps forward and you lose your head start. Meep stocks are a perfect tool to experiment with and have fun on at the same time. USE THEM

NONE
Nobody is going to actually spend the time to look it up and figure it out, and stocks are a good feature.
People are LAZY. NOBODY will spend that time to figure out stocks outside game. It would be a thousand times easier for people to learn how to use stocks through a short tutorial in game explaining how they work.

Plus if it was a simple short tutorial in game it would be a thousand times easier to understand than real world stocks. Plus it would take much less research since you only get what you need to know vs. watching an entire video about real world stocks or researching about it, sifting through it than, Then repeat process to only get a limited amount of info

You can't create your own stock. You invest in real-world industries. Here's a useful link if you're looking to make money off the meep stocks. http://www.barchart.com/stocks/signals/top100

You go to /warp stocks, enter the building in front of you, right click the stock trader villager, and buy stocks, entering the abbreviation for each stock, then the number of stocks you'd like to buy at the current price. For example, if you wanted to buy 5000 shares of weight watchers, which is on the link I provided, you would enter WTW, then when the villager asks how many you'd like, you'd type 5000.

In my opinion there's not really much that can be done in terms of a tutorial. It's literally just like this:

Player buys stock.
Player holds onto stock for as long as they want.
Player sells stock.

There's really nothing else we can teach you guys.

Do you really think a short tutorial can answer al the questions a young player would have? Also I would rather the tech/staff team put work towards other struggling areas of the server, not the stock market feature.

And if you didn't know, Sjoe made a thread about how to use stocks already.
