You are probably going to make suggestions private soon, then ban requests.
If you don't accept this, shame on you.

While annoying to moderate toll appeals, it is better to see ban appeals in case I have something to say about it.

Like about a week before appeals were taken down and made private, I posted on someone's appeal about an alt account they missed in the mess of his IP.

I was talking to klutch last night, we both agreed on the same issue. If Player1 gets banned, he tells me over skype 'lol I'm gonna appeal and when it's accepted I'm gonna trash the server' I should be able to see that guys appeal and go hey wait, this is a terrible idea, here's what he said to me.

This also works with a theft. If player1 stole from me, I got him banned and he appeals, we can then talk about it in an appeal, because he can be unbanned if he gives me my stuff back, I'm more than willing to work that out.

I mean, If everyone would spend half the time reading the rules and actually following then on forums, we would add em back. Since no one can seem to handle themselves, we really dont have a choice. 99% of the "funny omg LOLZ troll" threads and posts are in the support section. It causes us nothing but headaches and wasted time. We may add things back in the near future but I guarentee if this stuff starts happening again. . It goes byebye

The ban appeal bot was never going to work out in the first place.

To be honest, I don't think this is going to happen. The reason being is that there is no need for it to be public. It is staff who make the decisions and players can't post on them anyway. If they have proof, we will bring them into the situation. End of

Then your 'there is no reason, end of story' post is invalid. There are clear reasons for it to be public, as well as the fact that it's there for players to learn rules (don't say that's not how to do it, I read ban appeals to learn the rules better), and for entertainment and knowledge purposes.

You, jamez, you get banned for hacking 2 months ago. You have me on skype and we talk to each other occasionally. You tell me you're going to appeal, and if it gets accepted you're going to hack again.
So now your appeal is up. I cannot see it, so I have no reason to tell the staff what you said. Is the fact that I know you're going to hack again not related and important?

Staff can be and should be open to a discussion and question. You can't just pull 'because I said so.' here. It's ridiculous.

Solution: the appeal bot's posts have to be approved before the public can see them.

Or don't use the damn bot system at all. Have the banned players send an email to [EMAIL]all@meepstaff.com[/EMAIL] and review it in the staff chat. Just because an incident happened once, doesn't mean we should lock it down for everyone.

Unless it was you who was banned, ban appeals don't affect any of you. You have no real need to see them, you just want to laugh and entertain yourselves on other people's misfortunes.
