Im tired of seeing people apply for staff and putting all of their friends under the "References" section. I think in order for you to be able to refer someone, you have to have been(or still be) staff for at least one to two months.

then people will kiss up and often current staff like to stay out of it.

I feel like references isn't really important for a minecraft server do they really go out of their way to ask the references...

I believe that staff members should add to their post on the actual application that they are a reference or recommendation.

It's the way I'm doing it somewhere else and it works perfectly fine, other than the fact that players ask for them ingame, and the staff member doesn't even post on the application, but I think meepcraft can fix that or manage it.

The reason its there is so we can see who they put. We then go and ask a few people what they think about that person being staff in all honesty. They dont have to lie to us because no one will ever find out what they told us in private.
