Skythekid1526 So I have heard of citizens saving up hard earned cash to make a beloved town, go inactive for 1 day, and be devastated that their town was turned abandoned. But wait! We can stop this! How about we either have a message saying "Do /t deposit to keep the town going" or just automatically put 10k in the bank and also give them that message. What do you think?
Adam34falcon Theres really no point, just play infected or something for 4k and vote and what about all the towns already?

leodavinci9000 +1 for both starting money and some sort of message that tells new mayors that you need to make sure that the towny bank has more than that towny upkeep. This would be useful for players who barely got enough money to start a town but didn't realize that the upkeep was a thing.
Deinen +1, if possible. Change town price to 225k. Default towns start with 25k.This is a great, great idea. Not sure how easy it would be to do though, probably extremely hard getting into towny.

I'd guess this would be along those lines?Anyways, +1. You wouldn't believe how many modreqs we get about this.

It's just there, as a precaution.

Idanq1 +1 this is a great idea! I was lucky when I created my town, Someone gave me 20k to the start and I didn't know about the tax... + I think when someone buy a town it should say "don't forget to deposit money or your town will be delete."
PixelGamingMC The price could be kept at 200k, but a message could pop up reminding the player to deposit funds, and take a certain amout of money and put it in to start.
samnipotent_ my friend was just getting a town and wanted to make me co-mayor, but then she logged off and i became the mayor instead. but i couldn't afford to run a town, so the previous mayor gave 100k to run it! i know that free money to help run a town is definetly something people would like.
Shellcode Although i think this is a good idea I would argue that if you are going to start a town and spend all the money to start you should know how it works ahead of time. The community is very responsive with questions regarding Towny, it's not hard to ask for help in /g if you don't know how something works.
