When you do /buy (item) (#) ($) you can enter the maxprice. If your maxprice isn't high enough, it doesn't say anything. Due to this, a lot of people are thinking the shop is broken.
I'm thinking it could just display a message like:
The max price you entered isn't high enough! Try typing /find (item they typed in) to check the pricing.
