Sort of. Here, im going to give an example of a game now and a game in old days.
Now: Running, racing your team to your mineshaft to get the free iron pick, and then competing with your team to get diamond stuff. Then go on a rampage, get healing base, attack enemy team, be killed and rage quit. Or suicide at everyone you see.
Old: Building defenses high above your base, defending with bows, "Free swords in chest!" calls out a team mate. "Only take one!". People charge the enemy, swords raised high, while others jump through the trees, then jumping onto the enemy base and secretly stealing the flag. Or tunneling through the ground, shifting as an enemy finds your tunnel and moves around the corner, sneaking towards the enemy flag and going right up into their base, stealing it, and disapearing.
No more kits. No more advantages or anything for donators, just titles like captain or commander so citizens know whos in charge. Call citizens knights so they don't feel bad.
Block breaking and placing. Build a base around the flag, die you lose stuff. Just a forest with some hills and pools, surrounding a giant pyramid in the center which has a zone of open area around it for quick fighting and charging. Forest is thick enough to jump around on, not thick enough so you can't walk. You can mine for materials, but you have to get these materials LEGIT. No stupid chests or diamonds just sitting there. There is no reason for that, it's stupid. It's fighting against your own team.

Because the old ctf never gave meebles and many of our players rely on our new CTF for meebles but the fun factor I agree with

Screw playing CTF for money. I used to play it all the time in Old Meepcraft because it was actually *fun*. It drew 50+ player games simply because it was entertaining - in fact, it was one of the reasons why I actually joined and stayed with the server, me and hockeygoalie both. I loved the team aspect of building castles out of wool from other flags, the stealth-mode sneak attacks against players and the flag via the forest, and the vast map size that actually made a time punishment when dying with another team's flag.

The player base is something that needs an improvement, and I feel that if MeepColonies was truly recreated, it'd draw in a solid amount of players.

So recently I played some CTF, and I noticed something.
How the heck is the current CTF actually CTF?
You stand by the enemies flag for ten seconds. Capture the flag consists of taking the flag BACK to your base! The current capture the flag is a pvp battle. There's almost no reason to play.
I think we should be bringing back MeepColonies and actually have real CTF.
Also, remove the healing base. Or make it not as powerful, it is OP.

I 1000000000000000% agree. The current CTF doesn't even consist of capturing the flag and isn't nearly as fun as it used to be back in MeepColonies.

It would be cool if there were more CTF maps, using the same map over and over again can get repetitive.

Maybe... But that would be difficult. The forest is the a really big part of MeepColonies. The original one was a superflat with a forest surrounding a nether pyramid. It needs to be pretty simple to get the same effect.

I love this suggestion as meepcolonies was the best version of ctf we've had, so +1 from me.

Red, Blue, Orange, and Green teams were the original. The forest and the nether pyramid in the middle..

The original ctf was red vs blue on a flat hill map, without you having the ability to break anything, then meepcolonies replaced it with two teams, in a jungle map, witch was again replaced by red, blue, orange and green and that map.

I joined just as the jungle was being created.Maybe we could have multiple maps, but still obviously just 1 game. Like we could have it be a vote system in chat?

+Jaun for me, Ctf now is very Boring and with people staying on the same team after the game into the next, the same people who just - Claimed the healing base, took all the diamonds, and "Captured" all of the flags. You don't even need to guess who will win. Btw, just a suggestion, but maybe have some better armor as well? When the players get Diamond armor, let us have a chance of beating them, Because right now, diamonds rule the place. :)Plus maybe some harder mobs to fight, with armor maybe?

Maybe there could be some random mobs roaming the forest, but like I said: No kits. None at all. And the ores in the area aren't changed, they have regular spawning rates. So if you actually were going to spend the time to get full diamond, it would take the entire game.

It was a game where our team was only spider and I and we were under by 150 points. I saw this diamond noob in the healing base just sitting there, waiting for prey. I decided to attack him, but I noticed he had no skill at all. Using magic, I was able to kill a diamond noob without any additional armor and only with a stone sword. After aquiring the gear, I was able to do a comeback against the team, and then they all ragequit.

Ctf is boring but only if you make it. Try comebacking the winning team so that you can rekt them.
