So. Here's what happened.
Background
A few months ago, I bought an elder guardian from someone (Angelofdeath, maybe?) and I found a nice small island near the ocean monument to build a tank on. So I transported it there, and it was on my island. A couple days ago, I put 3 regular guardians in there as well, and I started inviting people to see the island. Today, I invited people to the island via chat - "/tpa to me to see Guardian Isle." People came, but one person was causing trouble. They were hitting the glass, and breaking it. In the time between the glass breaking and Towny regen-ing it, they were able to hit it. I gave them three warnings, toggled PvP, and killed them. They got their items back, but my guardians were unharmed. In light of this, I said in shout, "/tpa to me to see Guardian Isle - Killing a guardian will result in your death."
Events Leading Up to the Murder
I guess since I said that, people had to prove me wrong. Someone named M0W0G kept hitting the glass, so I told him to leave. He did so, but came back later, for a split second. Since I didn't have any pwarps on that island and I didn't /tpa him again, he must have set a home. 7ace was visiting at that point, and he pointed this out to me when he saw. For a bit I started doing things where I would send people into the tank to be killed. After a few times, I noticed a regular guardian was missing. I told everyone present to delete homes as a safety precaution, something 7ace oversaw, and I replaced the guardian. MoWoG was back, though.
Murder & Modreq
Earlier tonight, but after the aforementioned events, I returned to my island, to walk around as I usually do. I then found the tank empty, with only a raw fish and a few prismarine shards at the bottom. I filed a modreq, and Bam_Nitro helped me. Although he was helpful and banned MoWoG for a day, he said he talked to an admin and could not refund me for the guardians.
My Request
The regular guardians are no problem to replace, as the monument is so close that I can just use a single nether portal, but elder guardians are a different story. Each monument only comes with 3, the one I bought was the last one of the monument near me, and I can assume that most of the elder guardians in other monuments were killed due to guardian farms appearing. Even if I could find one, the hassle and money required to transport it to my island would be tremendous, and all because some troll took advantage of a glitch to make me upset. I don't think it's fair for me to be punished because of this player's actions, and if it was any other item or mob, I would understand that an admin could not reimburse. I mean, if you do it for one person, you would have to do it for everyone, and then admins would be working around the clock to reimburse players. However, in my case, it is a very rare, most likely extinct mob in Alpha (I know there are a few in /pwarp zoo, but that's in Beta). I think that the circumstances are such that I deserve a refund for this. Please take your time to consider this, and thank you for even reading and considering this.
I would like to note that this whole conversation was copy and pasted from a conversation I had with an admin about this issue. After not hearing a response after several weeks, I would like to post it here so that it can be resolved.BUMP.
