Basically have it so during an auction in skyblock, if someone bids in the last five seconds, extend the auction like fifteen seconds to give the other people a chance. I've seen it effectively on servers and on this one I feel we need it.

+1 When I started playing this new sky block (my first time playing sb) I quickly realized auctions were a lot less about the willingness to pay and more about who bid last.

I initially thought: whoever wants the item the most will bid the highest. This proved to be false many times with last second bids. Originally it bothered me that I'd get outbid at the very last second.

Now however, I just try to be the very last bid on any auction I need an item for. It makes the most sense to simply bid when you see 1 second remaining and definitely get your item than it does to do a legitimate bid battle. I'm sure there's positive and negatives to both sides, but it would seem like a good issue to work out.

But in all seriousness, i sort of agree. Maybe 10 seconds would be a decent amount of time to keep the auction going, and to make sure the people who really need it get it.

Then whoever wants it the most will get it at the end, since the bid can only go up, and eventually people would give up.

Not necessarily, with auctions the price will continue to go until the person willing to pay the most buys it. In that case it should last forever instead of who has the better/best ping and can type /bid the fastest.

To have an auction system that may never end, defeats the purpose of auctions. Auctions are meant to get the bidder items at a cheap price, not to sell the item overprice because someone keeps bidding. In my opinion, auctions are already too long. Adding this would make trolls have super long auctions and enrage the community.

Not true, the definition of an auction is to sell a product or good to the highest bidder. This would also include if the items go overprice because someone is willing to pay more meebles to get it. As for the trolls, they could set a default bidding increment of 5-10 so that trolls aren't willing to waste as much money just to troll everyone.
