I'm suggesting the same thing as Chaase5 for a spawn, simple attractive to the eye, easy to navigate spawn. Main focus of this suggestion is the warp.
/warp explore would put you in the current spawn (would be the old spawn, should this be implemented). This way the spawn would be simple but architecture is still there. Then, the teleport border thing will be removed or moved way farther back and this will be free architect build land. They can build whatever their heart desires as long as it fits in the build area. This would leave good architecture, and still the more simple, attractive spawn.
If this is possible (idk if it is), you should put a Twilight area where you take buildings from the creative showcase, and copy them into the Twilight Zone. If you have world edit you can then do //replace glowstone_block 1000 redstone_torch
Which gives a spooky light source, and would give a spooky feeling to the Twilight Zone. It's just something creative and fun for architects or meep players to try to add to.
