The reason for words like this being filtered is because Meepcraft didn't make it's own list of words that should be filtered, they just found a list on the internet and copy-pasted it into Meepcraft. A lot of words like "Butter" and "Muffin" are not filtered because Meepcraft decided they should be filtered, but because staff just never unblocked them.

Yeah like why can we shorthand the "n" word, say crap, damn, hell, etc but can't say Ass or Butt? Not only are those words just as "clean", for lack of a better word, as crap, damn, hell, but they prevent us from saying actual words like Butter, Muffin, Assassin, etc.

So I've explained this about 150 times. :)

These are not intentional, we will fix them, but it's a low priority at the moment. We already have this on Trello from the last time this was suggested. Let's shoot for before the weekend hits.
