Introduction: Hello, my name is Mitch but in-game I am known as Foretvert – pronounced "for-ay-vair" for all those that wish to impress me. Now, a little bit about me. I am a musician of quite a few instruments and a composer of varying musical styles. A few weeks ago, I graduated from high school with high honors and will be pursuing a major in Chemistry and Biochemistry next year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
My journey with MeepCraft began at a time where there were always more than 700 players online at any given time. I fondly remember coming home from school, just to play MeepCraft. With the rise of MeepNetworks, I took a hiatus from the server, where I broke off with a few fellow meepers to create a new server. On this server, I progressed up to Moderator before the server went under. After this point, I started develop my own test server, as well as accept the role of Admin on my friend's server. I also experimenting with modded Minecraft and joined a Pixelmon server a while back and became a Gym Leader, which was still a position that had to represent the server well. On the side, I began developing Bukkit plugins to further customize my test server.
With the revival of MeepCraft after the fall of MeepNetworks, I began to play albeit infrequently. Eventually, I vowed to stop playing Minecraft entirely sometime in April 2014, affording me time to focus on my studies instead. However, this did not last: I rejoined MeepCraft in April this year with my friend in real life, Narcarsis. I am pleased to be back on Meep and prepared to make a difference.
Why should you be Helper? I believe that I would be solid addition to staff for a few reasons. Many individuals in real life – friends, neighbors, patrons, peers, etc – would tote me as an man of integrity, well-meaning, and loyalty. Having been parented exclusively by my mother and having grown up alongside a sister with social hardships, I have fulfilled a paternal role for most of my life. Leadership tends to come natural for me. I have been section leader in my school's highest band this past school year and was awarded a plaque for my leadership as well. A personal goal of mine is to refrain from judging anyone, no matter the circumstances. I have found that it is most crucial to be introspective when examining another's faults, leading to the betterment of oneself.
What are your weaknesses? The harshest scrutiny we often face from ourselves and I am no different. There are many times where I judge myself too severely for things I cannot change. However, this is something that drives me towards perfection. In addition, in the past I have struggled to keep an open mind. I used to take advice as a sign of weakness but I have since realized that advice is great no matter if it is necessarily good or bad: it increases one's wisdom and character.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Despite the influx of staff applications, I feel I bring desirable qualities to the table. My goal is to simply make the server a better place as MeepCraft has given me many memories throughout my two and a half years here. I am cognizant of the dedication and motivation that being part of staff requires and I am ready to accept the challenge.
