Since staff can obviously do this.
I think we need this. We can do it on our profiles, why not on our own threads?
Some people make threads about something and after a few days it's almost like a cyber-riot.
I think general members of the MeepCraft forum should have the option to lock their thread (this could be an alternative to deleting).
Locking a thread means that nobody but staff can reply to it. Other members, however, will be able to 'like' posts, but not reply.
Members can lock their thread ONLY IF:
*They created that thread
*If they feel the posts after a while aren't relevant or it's turned into an irrelevant conversation
*If they don't want any replies to it (eg. like a small note)
You cannot lock a thread if:
*It's an Application of some sort
*It's a player report
*It's a ban appeal
*It's a suggestion (unless you just want staff to accept/deny and nobody else commenting)
You cannot delete comments on a staff application, etc. (Forgot to type this in)
Deleting Comments:
You can only delete comments if you're the creator of the thread.
This is similar to report but I find it's useless. If you're the creator of the thread, you can delete a persons' comment, making that nobody else but moderators can see that persons comment.
Moderators can also moderate comments that have been deleted from threads, so basically if a player is deleting peoples comments just for the sake of it, or without any reason, they can be sanctioned. This also prevents further conflict.
