Don't allow camping in personal PvP Arenas.

Title says all. Brohan was telling people to come to his pvp arena and kill him for a mil, then proceeded to camp and kill all those people. This is a problem, and happens to other pvp arenas as well (Like mine) and that's just an example.

+1, this is ridiculous, even if it's your own arena you shouldn't be able to do it. (Update on the brohan: He hit someone and logged after knowing I was starting to record him so he lost all his god gear"

-1, I believe the towns can make a no camping rule, then ban violators, which then they can prompt us to ban for trespassing.

The only reason I made this thread is because of the luring issue I've stated above and the fact that staff aren't always easily accessible immediately at the time, resulting in the player sometimes staying for well over an hour while I wait for my modreq to be claimed.

My dispute to this is that would not be luring, you are indeed going into a PVP zone willfully in an attempt to kill a player. That is the entire premise of the interaction.

It is luring though at the same time because the player promised a reward for people to kill him (1 mill) and as soon as I got there he tried to camp and push me along with other players in. The point is that he did something wrong here to get players into a pvp zone. Sure you willingly knew it was pvp but did you know that if you did kill him you wouldn't get anything? The reward? Or even get killed because you were pushed in purposely from a safe zone?

Define "safe zone", because if it's not PVP you can't hit someone. If someone is pushing you in using some other means (because you can't hit them), then we can talk.

As for not knowing if you'd actually get paid, that doesn't necessarily make it relevant to this. If you go into PVP, you must assume the risk of death. You could clearly see the person standing at the entrance, you could easily make the choice not to go in. To enter PVP, I believe one assumes the risk of death, inherently.

that's not really illegal... If that were so, I would already been banned a while ago... There is no way to really camp except for ladder camping; jumping in while someone is on the ladder to hit them off

I think for me is that you can choose to not go into PVP, thus choosing not to inherent risk. I just don't think we're necessarily here to protect players from their own choices.

Which is why we don't refund them. :) We're not going to just let someone who is willing to scam and hurt other players to freely roam around. That would be just silly, don't you think?

No offense intended, I was trying to make the point that we try as much as we can to not do that. Of course some situations call for us to get involved, as unfortunate as it is.

I don't think Deinen was making a reference to your ban history, he was literally just stating why we have that rule in place.

Deinen I can very much understand what you mean but does that mean some bad apples should ruin the entire tree? (thats a ref FYI)
Personally I still stand neutral in this but I can understand that it can be annoying to see people spamming in chat just to lure people to "pvp" arenas just so they can get camped all the time.
