Basically, the reason for VIP, Premium, etc. tags are to show you donated, or what level you are. Donor rank would be useless, we already have ranks for a reason. Additionally, they're separate purchases, like at a store. If you buy a hamburger at McDonald's, it isn't the same as chicken nuggets, but you still payed for a purchase like that.
