I find the problem with the combat tag is that I Keep forgetting about it after I kill someone and then get killed for logging even though I won the fight

That is not necessarily a problem with combat tag.
I personally have the opinion that the warp functions are a useful tool, able to be used to quickly and easily navigate everywhere in the server. I think having those warp functions are critical for the success of the server as well, as it lets newer players to easily navigate.
I dislike the premise of limiting everyone else's ability in exchange of preventing loggers from logging further, as we've already solved this issue.
Additionally, we chose death vs an automatic ban because we wanted to remove the idea of a ban for logging, and this does just that. You get penalized for logging, without the ban.
-1, it's 10 seconds, 10 seconds is a very reasonable time to assume one getting out of combat.
Then it should be fixed so when you kill someone it goes off. At least, that'd be a better suggestion imo.
