Laying permanent claim to things in CTF

I believe we have all had that problem where we lay down a furnace, put in the iron and coal, and then someone comes up and takes it. I have, at least, some kid came up behind me, broke the furnace and ran away with my iron. So if it's possible, could there be something implemented, that when a furnace is put down no one can get into it, and when a player that is not the person tries to get into it they get this: This furnace is owned by player (name). I think I'd like CTF a lot better if this is implemented.

Edit: This idea is to prevent your TEAMMATES from taking your things. Not people from other teams.

+1 that would stop many issues happening between players and it will show the players they have to actually do the hard work

You are derailing the point of ctf. This isn't some sort of game where if you find something, it is automatically yours. In order to be competitive in the game, you must steel from other players and kill. And tbh, there is no reason to be burning iron in the first place when playing it. You have diamonds all over the place.

In order to be competitive in the game, you must steel from other players and kill. And tbh, there is no reason to be burning iron in the first place when playing it. I'm sitting on the fence with this.

I'd like to be able to keep my items for myself, but the game is about raiding enemy bases, sharing resources with your team, and killing for better weaponry.

If people don't have supreme and ultimate does not make them any less than what rank they are or if they are a citizen. By your statement, you are basically saying that more than half the meepcraft community are noobs.

This might be ok if it prevented your team from taking it, but for other teams it should be, rightly so, fair game. Kill or be killed, and robbed. :)

(also pretty sure kits are gone in CTF, and ranks give you more meebles now:))

I get your point, but you could make it that you can't take from teammates.
