As I previously stated, I'm not sure it would be a big issue to add more staff members who just moderate factions. Along with this, seperate chat between the two servers. That way, people playing towny aren't seeing a butthurt child raging on factions.

If we have seperate staff, and chat for the server then certainly we should also have different donation packages, because it's essentially it's own server at that point.
The term glory days is used pretty loosely, and frankly we're not going back in time, and we're not going to try to emulate the past, there is a reason it doesn't exist anymore. I think the overwhelming belief is that the players from factions are toxic, petty, oblivious, arrogant, loud, etc, etc. At least this is my experience with Factions, and it's players, and that is something I don't think would contribute to what the towny community is. If Fuzzlr wants to open a new factions server, so be it, but factions doesn't belong paired with towny.
