Well my first name in REAL Japanese is マシュー or Mashū. It wouldn't make much sense for me to translate my middle and last name since they are already in Japanese ;)

Not sure if it's just me who reads Japanese this way, but sometimes for words I do not know how to read in Japanese, I translate it from Chinese to English, since I'm an ABC. 海 in Chinese is pronounced hai with the third sound, the lower one (For you Chinese people out there, you know what I'm talking about). 海 means ocean in Chinese too, so because of that I would be 90% sure that's correct if you hadn't already said that it meant ocean.
