I am someone who has mastered the octick pvp style and time to show my great pvp styles in words and make you believe I studied this by separating myself from humans and become a master.
Melee
Melee is the sole lie of pvp. People say it is good to strafe but it isn't. What you should do is try to use different weapons. In real life, you can club people with a rock and kill them, so why not use stone or cobble stone while pvping.
Archery
Never bow spam. Even though the tactic has been mastered by only four known people and is a legit tactic, it isn't. Bow spamming is what the twelve year old kids call the noob tactics and because minecraft is joked to be only for twelve year olds they are our gods.
Chat behavior.
Using caps is normal for the pvp culture. Saying Gg, Gf. Are actually bad things. Telling someone Gg means Get Good. If they hear that you think they can get good they will. More competition meas more chances for people to not look up to you as a dominate pvper. Saying Gf means Girlfriend. This is the internet so there are no girls on here just creepy old people and bored trolls. If you ever want to become the best. you don't get a girlfriend.
I would say more but pvp here is very simplified that there is only two more things to add. Harming potions and soups. Soups in real minecraft don't heal you so we do not want to go against our gods Bill Gates and Notch. Harming potions are the alone kid out of the potions group. If you talk to it, it will follow you till you accidentally pot yourself and then you rage, quit minecraft and go back on the server fifteen minutes later.
