I clearly said I don't want to and can't buy god armor, don't be a ****. You just want to have it your way and kep terrarium how it is because you OWN the arena and you're team with everyone. I can't team up with anyone because they all suck at pvp and/or don't have the gear. It's not simple. Let's give a real life example. It's like you saying "Just go to college and get a job once your graduate" Well 1. I don't have the money to go to such college you say I should go to and 2. Why risk spending so much to only have a slighter chance of succeeding. It's the same with terrarium: You say: "Get god armor and suck it up" 1. I cannot afford the god armor and 2. why risk losing such god armor for a slighter chance of beating you and your buddies?!
Maybe start taking reading classes because it will help you comprehend what message I'm trying to send. Don't be rude.

Anyway, to address your concern:
Wait 'til teams start coming out in the terrarium, if they do. I guarantee there will be teams open to newer players (who are tested/approved for that PvP team). If not, that's the time you have to make friends. You've got to find some other non-donor buddies, but the problem is you said:

The thing is, it's almost assumed people are bad at PvP, no matter who you are. If I don't fight you, or you're reluctant to fight, I'll think you're worse than me right off the bat.
Does that mean I'm right? Usually, just because there aren't many people used to PvPing/training with the best on the server (such as legend and Iate). But I can sometimes be wrong. Test them out, see what they have, talk to donaters about teaming too. We don't all bite :P
I don't team with many people because I want to maintain a challenge. Bakuknight is definitely my equal if not better than me, but I'm not teamed with him because I need to remember there's people out there that can beat me. I'm teamed with legend and iate because (well, they're also really good) they're helping me become a better PvPer.
Tl;dr: Don't assume all non-donors (or donaters) suck or don't have gear. You never know.
Teaming isn't just a donor thing, non-donors can team with donors and with each other. Anyone can team with anyone. It's who you choose to impress or who you choose to ask that makes the difference.
Also,
If you think you want to team with someone, ask them to 1v1 with givebacks. If they're your level, slightly lower, or higher (but not too high above you), ask them to team! If they say yes, then bam, you have a teammate you can kill with, and if not, then move on (or kill them later :3)
