How to make chest shops?

This is probably a stupid question but i am trying to make a mall in my town and my chests are not working,
here is the layout:

I have had people do it but it is not working!!

The item name might be too long to fit for the shop.
Do "/iteminfo" when holding the item, and use that ID and put it in the sign.

And use the item ID

Are you using a Mac? There's a bug of some sort which allows Mac users to make shop signs only if they type it a certain way.

If you have a mac, i've had problem where it just wouldn't work even if I used the right item id.
so
before you type on each line, you have to press the 'delete' button twice, then type. same with the next line etc...

It should be like this:
Leave this blank
(Amount)
B(Price) or S(Price) or B(Price) : S(Price)
Item id

Hold the chestplate and do item info and put the item id on the last row

Same here. I found a few methods to make the signs. One method, for example, is to fill in all four rows with "xxx". Once you get to the bottom row where the Item ID belongs, erase "xxx", and type in the Item ID. Then, up one space, erase "xxx" and fill that in, and so forth. So it should resemble something like;

Just type in the number on iteminfo and it will populate the correct term on the blank.
