Everyone is always advertising to buy Neitherack, that is a great way for drifters to get money.
Or they can harvest sand and sell it in the shop for 1.5 meebles each.
If they are good at Parkour, or KitPVP, both are good ways to make money.
Voting gets a min of 6000 / day.
Now we have Spleef, yet another way to make money.
If you want to help players make money and be successful, talk to the new players, try to pull them under you wing, and show them the ropes a little.
Give them suggestions on how to make money, maybe give them semi-god iron tools, some good Pwarp locations....
Be a Big Brother / Big Sister for them.
Then if you really are interested in getting staff, I imagine this would look good on your meepcraft resume.
I think at this point it should be more of a community effort to help and retain new players.
Your concerned about town town taxes, I have told players that they should not join a town for more then 100/day per plot.
if they follow this, with the 5500 meebles they start with after they finish the tutorial, , they should be good for more than a month, with money to spare / burn.
