It's so easy to hate on someone and for a bunch of people to jump on the band wagon. If you are consistently hated on and spammed with negative comments wouldn't you eventually stand up for yourself? To be fair Horne can't turn a corner without being bombarded with hate. I think somewhere along the line he just decided screw this and started replying with the same mentality as he is sometimes attacked with. Heck, I have even had a jab at him once or twice in the past but without any personal experience with him or being personally affected by him. That should make me question myself more than him.
He just lacks people skills but that doesn't mean he does not have other skills to bring to the party. If anything he has shown this server loopholes and shortcomings time and again and his /bal and ban history (or lack thereof) proves that. If what he has been doing at any point in time was illegal or harming the server he would have been banned a long time ago. He is in fact JUST PLAYING THE GAME as it is meant to be, right? This is an economy server where the point is to make money? Don't you want someone like that in a position where he can prevent others from abusing said loopholes? His activity on the server and dedication to whatever he might be focussing on at any moment far outweighs any staff member I have known or heard about.
We have handfuls of staff and potential staff that are what the community considers they should be. Nice, talkative, helpful, respectful etc. etc. etc. We need someone that will bring another aspect to staff, technical knowhow and economy experience. Everyone likes to complain about the situation of the server economy but how many staff actually actively contribute to making it better? (not talking about admin/owner/onis) Some just use their fame for personal gain for starting shops and towns. How many actively come up with suggestions or contribute to suggestions to improve the state of the economy?
The fact that HORNEMANS, yes HORNEMANS is willing to start at the bottom as a helper should be indication enough that something has changed. Would any of you ever thought of him as someone who will be willing to be a helper on this server? He is famous (infamous?) enough and wealthy enough for his hidden agenda not to be for personal gain but to actually contribute to the server that he clearly loves.
All of you that are preaching to him about his manners and attitude have you looked at your own replies? Have you seen the other replies on here? And not a single person has pointed out to someone else that is being very rude, immature or just plain mean. But the moment Horne comments on something all the villagers pick up their torches and pitchforks.
That being said. I’m currently at a -1 because of your public profile. You may be more than qualified for the job (especially higher staff) but this is a very important requirement nonetheless. To really convince me that you want this a general improvement in your relations with the community will prove your dedication and sincerity.
