There should be a command to toggle /g off. Some people find /g to be bothersome and it can be at times. I don't see any reason not to implement such an easy thing. It would improve the quality of play for players who don't want to deal with spammy shout periods but don't want to miss out on important things like /msg or staff announcements. Staff chat can still been seen though if any one who argues this said staff need to be heard.
