I remember a while back, Fuzzlr posted a debate on whether or not we should have weather events in Towns and Wild, which can be found HERE. the vote was extremeelllyy close, with 85 votes for keeping weather, and 87 votes for not keeping it. This was about a month after the fall of MN, and I think it's about time we take another vote. Personally, I prefer weather events in the Towns and Wild worlds. Pros and cons are below.
Benefits of Rain:
- Fish are more abundant.
- Causes crops to grow at a faster rate.
- Farmland becomes hydrated if it isn't already.
- Rain fills up cauldrons with water, rarely.
- Endermen, blazes, and snow golems can die if exposed to rain.
Disadvantages of Rain:- Extinguishes fires outside except on netherrack (which everyone uses anyway)
- Noisy (can be fixed, see below)
- Flaming arrows are put out.
- Causes lag.
Solutions to Rain Disadvantages:Many people say that rain is too noisy. Solutions:
- Turn particles to minimal.
- Go to Music and Sounds and turn the weather sounds off.
- Move to a dry or snowy biome.
"Rain Causes Lag":_____________________________
Benefits of Snow:
- Snow regenerates over all blocks exposed to the sky.
- Mobs on fire will not be put out by snow.
- Turns water into ice.
- Towns in a colder biome will have a more realistic experience.

Benefits of Thunderstorms:
Disadvantages of Thunderstorms:
- Lightning causes a myriad of effects, including death upon striking the player, as well as causing fire when striking, which is put out unless on netherrack. It also causes pigs to turn into pigmen, villagers into witches, and creepers into charged creepers. However, since lightning is a rare occurrence, all of these effects are extremely rare.
- Thunder is loud. Can, of course, be toggled.
