Shorter MeepGuide

I think the MeepGuide needs to be a lot shorter. I don't think the new players will read through 33 pages.

EDIT: Maybe add a table of contents so that they don't have to search through the entire book just to find out how to do stuff.

Sjoe has just rewritten it. It barely has everything important in it. If you took out some pages, crucial information would be missing. I think that 33 pages is the MINIMUM we could wish for.

As for those, who are not reading the book, I doubt they would read it if it had 20 instead of 33 pages :)

I'm pretty sure there are some things that the new players don't need to know. The point of the Guide is to teach the new players important things. It's kind of useless if they see how long it is and decides to not read it.

Actually, I made my own guide for my active residents, which is only 10 pages

I agree that there should be a shorter meepbook, although it is important to create a book with ALL the information and not just the stuff that is necessary at the moment. Maybe it would be a good idea to have multiple guides, for example, a newbie book and once you're settled book with the lesser details. :cat:

I have some ideas

Remove page 11 and 16, they can merge with the other pages.
Chapter 4 should be two pages, one about /g, /w, and local, and the other about /mail and /msg. Its only about chat channels, so it doesn't have to be 5 pages long.
Chapter 5 should be shorter, mayors/signs should be around to tell players how to claim plots, and also, it doesn't say how to get back to your plot nor does it say how to leave a town.
