Yes.
Towny side it's legal in towny wild but not in a town I believe
Nether side it's a wild area therefore legal.

Wouldn't it just be easier to use a different portal for the time being? There is hundreds scattered throughout the nether. I've never encountered someone just randomly waiting for me to pop out on the nether end. And if you're fighting with someone, it seems just way easier to hop over to another portal, and bypass this issue entirely.

Actually, if someone were to open a pwarp that allows you to go to the nether, such as /pwarp ezmoney, then it could be a problem. They don't even have to be there to kill you: they can just pour lava on the portal and you get screwed.

My whole reasoning is that I have a Shop with a Nether Portal I don't want this A.) Falling back on me as my fault B.) People doing this just because it is legal.

A nether portal is just a portal. The owner of it is irrelevant unless you were the one camping.

This issue is being reviewed, as the current "rules" are vague! Upper staff is working out the details, this will be clairfied "eventually".

I personally think this ILLEGAL and the rules simply need to be "re-worded" so it is more clear to those that don't understand them!

The Detabe is: Nehter side of portal or sides in towny wilderness / the wild "technically" state pvp or killing someone by "any means" is legal! However other places in the rules it states, If you TRAP, CAMP, LURE someone it is considered illegal! Pouring lava on a nether portal is a TRAP as it instantly kills anyone not wearing god armor and depending on how the TRAP was made possible kills them too (Traps are already illegal in towny, but is the TOWNY NETHER also towny or not)! CAMPING is waiting at and entry/exit point killing "essentially defenseless" players before they know whats going on (Rules already states "ladder" camping is illegal the just need to remove the word ladder making ALL camping illegal). This can be considered LUREING because the /pwarp is being ADVERTISED for noobs to come through the portal, and PEOPLE are waiting on the other side to kill them! (It is already a enforceable rule, It does NOT matter if the person KILLING and person ADVERTISING are the same person, either by "teaming" or by using "alt accounts"or not, it is still illegal.)
