Just to clarify, we tried to reclaim the towny plot, to no avail.
The strange thing is, that it does not look like the blocks are not sticking to the pistons, but more like the pistons are ignoring the fact, that they are unpowered. In this contraption exclusively.
I will do more testing on this matter and report later if I find out anything prominent.I have narrowed the problem a fair bit. "A straight line of powered redstone does not update a piston under it when unpowered".
A "dot" redstone shape: (Works fine)

OFF:

A "corner" redstone shape: (Works fine)

OFF:

A "line" redstone shape: (Does not update the piston)
ON:

OFF:

The piston has to be updated manually. I have tried the same experiment with a redstone lamp, it is not affected. Both a sticky and a non-sticky piston are.
All testing has been done within one chunk. Mind you, the piston has to extend away from the redstone line above-behind it or to the sides. If it is facing "towards" the line, it is unpowered normally.
There is an occasional glitch within the glitch when the problem does not occur as shown in the picture below (the left piston behaves regularly, the right one does not.)

This is as close as I can describe the problem.
