Introduction:

My name is Dan and I am from England, UK. I am applying for staff so that I can get the opportunity to help others on MeepCraft.

I am currently studying in Cambridge and study Maths, IT, Business & Music. Although I am dedicated to my school work I am also dedicated to meep and although I am not a helper I spend a lot of my free time working in the towny worlds.

I have been back active on Meep for a few weeks now and have dedicated a lot of my time mainly to Butterland (Alpha) and to Valhalla (Beta). I spend a lot of my time on Meep and although I don’t spend a lot of it doing /shout I do speak to people via TeamSpeak and in local chat as I prefer to do it in that way. I was a helper around a month ago and I had to leave for a while due to exams and I didn’t feel like I had enough time to dedicate to Meep.

Meep history?

I joined Meep back in June 2012 and I remember how the server used to be run and how it used to be and know a lot about the history of MeepCraft in September I bought elite and at that time that was the highest rank you could get. I then returned to meep after a short break and returned into MeepNetworks that was also quite a strong time for Meep and although I don’t remember it well I will always remember certain parts of it after MeepNetworks we have sort of come into a new era and this is the modern meep of today and I feel like I know a lot about how the server is currently run and as I have previously been staff I know my way around.

What do I like about the server?

I like the fact that the server has always been there when I have some free time and that I can really rely on the community to improve my day no matter what I also love the fact that all the staff and basically all the community are great friends to me and always support me.

Why you should be Helper?

I feel like I would be a benefit to the staff team and I have the skills necessary to provide the MeepCraft people with what they need. I spend a lot of time on meep currently and I could definitely put that time to better use. As I was staff in the past I believe I have the necessary skills to fill this role. I am in a Timezone which is not massively covered by the staff team and it really bugs me when someone is spamming or using profanity in game and no one can stop them I obviously report these players but sometimes it bugs me when something can't be done instantly. I have spent my last few weeks becoming more active in the community and trying to help people on the server enjoy it like I do. I spend a lot and I mean a lot of time on TeamSpeak and I get to know what the players want and I would love the chance to help express their opinion in staff meetings etc. When I was previously helper I learnt how a lot of things worked around Meep and how to use the moderation commands and I feel like that is just wasted if it is not used.

Dedication-

I believe I am truly dedicated to the server as soon as I log onto my PC the first thing I do is open TeamSpeak and my minecraft launcher ready to go and get involved in the Meep World.

Experience-

I was previously a Helper on Meep and I have been staff on multiple other servers in the past I have also worked in a server hosting company for a bit so I understand how a majority of servers work and how most plugins work.

Involvement-

I love to get involved in anything that happens in Meep from a server wide event down to a pool party at someone’s new house I try to get involved and help out as much as I can but in /shout I am not the greatest help usually because I’m too carried away working on a town or something similar.

Why did I temporarily left Meep?

I left meep for a number of minor reasons a part from my exams as they were extremely important to me and I knew that due to revision etc. I could not give MeepCraft the dedication that I would need to give it to fulfil my Helper Position.

Weaknesses:

Forum Activity- My forum activity is lacking and I hope to improve that in the future.

Not as active as I should be in /shout but I feel I give good advice in /msg or over TeamSpeak,

Conclusion:

I believe that I have enough time to dedicate to MeepCraft and have the skills necessary to do the job properly and would like the chance to further prove that to the new community I also think that this would learn a lot from the experience.

Also you're saying you were staff in the past, but you cannot use that as a reason to be allowed back in.
You were letting yourself get stepped all over on shout and after someone told you something about it you ended up rage quitting from staff over shout. That is why you left Meepcraft, not because of "exams". Some of us happen to still remember that event, so you prove to us dishonesty. -1

I don't believe this is this is the case and it was not rage quitting i was proving a point to Atkin because he was showing hate towards the servers staff so I was proving what the server would be like without the server and as I was planning to quit in the near future i thought it would be best to prove this point and it wasn't a rage I just let someone spam for around 30 seconds so everyone could understand.

I don't particularly know you, nor do I know much about your staff service, for good or bad. I'm stuck between a vote because I feel you can do modreqs, and general helper activities, but I am unsure on any potential for mod+. I particularly did not like reading your post above because I feel that is not the role a helper should be taking, you either do you're job, or you don't. In my opinion the only thing you would prove in that situation is you being an ineffective helper, thus warranting and flak you got for not doing the job.

Additionally, we often take flak, server/staff hate, and most of us could not care less what is hurled towards us, it's part of the job.

If we're looking for a helper that will probably leave after X months, then +1

If we're looking for people we can envision in the roles of not only helper, but a successful future staff career, then -1.

Okay so dan you've improved since your last application. No offence your last app was horrible but you've added more in this added more detail. Could be longer but it's a okay app. Even though yes your in a different timezone I do see you from time to time in when I'm online. Your pretty active but yes your forums activity needs worked on.
