Necro'ing a thread is a GOOD thing. I mean seriously what is the point of a whole new thread on the same topic?
Nearly every single forum I am involved with, are sensible and suggest to users, to utilize that little white box in the top right corner (see image below for further guidance to this mysterious feature)
Infact, forum regulars that actually care for constructive discussion start rants about repeat posts as they are bored of the same topic over and over. They care not for the how big's your ego competition (aka how many pointless posts can you make)
I frequent numerous Photography, Motorcycle and woodworking forums. All have this same policy.
Also this might come off as a personal attack, but it is not directed at you. It is merely directed at the anti necro concept that seems so rife on this forum, you were unfortunately the person that mentioned it after a long day at work and at the point I am sick of seeing it. :banghead:
