Generally, if a staff member (Only admins are capable) takes down a signature, the area will appear blank. A caution sign doesn't usually appear in this case (I have never seen it happen before). Also, upon removal, you will generally receive a message that it was taken down and why as to warn you not to put it back up. I will indeed ask the admins if they took it down, but at this point, i would have to guess that the answer is no.
