Ok, here's what I think is going on:
In 1.8 you can sprint while flying, so a 1.8 client allows you to fly at a faster speed. Meep is still on 1.7, so the server doesn't want you flying at that faster speed, and it bounces you back to where you'd be if you weren't sprint-flying.

This actually happens with destroying Pumpkins with an Axe in 1.8 too.

This also happens with /fly. I'm going to move this to denied purely because it's not a huge issue, and it should resolve itself in time. It's obviously a bug with i.8 itself, which is normally something we as a server can't fix. Thanks for the report though! Just try to avoid sprint flying until then!
