Minecart With Chest Disappeared

Bug: A Minecart with chest that was running back and forth along a 20 block long track disappeared. This minecart and chest had been running continuously for a few days since I put it on the track with no problems until today.

Time/Date: Sometime in the 7 hours between 8am and 3pm est May 21, 2014.

Steps to reproduce: The minecart was running back and forth on a 20 block long track of rails + powered rail. It was placed between 2 layers of hoppers in a type of randomizing sorter system. The minecart was also filled with random items.

@monkeyhead1999 Suggested the disappearance was caused by clearlag, however I tested this by placing another minecart and chest and a regular minecart. Clear lag came twice and they did not disappear.

Evidence: The only evidence I have is the track where it was located. I also filed a modreq that was answered by @monkeyhead1999 .

Just saw that you said clear lag didn't effect the other cart.
I think this might just be attributed to the movement of the cart. I'm going to run a few tests myself and get back to you.

I had a cart go on a 20 block long track continuously and deducted that the reason why your cart disappeared was just a lag spike. Today the server felt a couple spikes and it always affects and disrupts gameplay, especially with moving objects (like boats!).
