Introduction:
Hello, the majority of you know me. I'm Shain. I'm 19 years old and live in Chicago. I'm currently studying music and musical theatre. I sing and I play 12 instruments. I hope one day to get a MFA and teach at a university as well as perform as much as possible. My dream is to be on Broadway. I recently got a job at a very popular restaurant in Chicago. But I'm here now to re-apply for staff. Let's get started.
Why you should be Helper?:
I know everything that's expected from helpers and staff in general. I have taught many current staff how to do their jobs. As an ex-supermod I can guarantee you that I will do the job and do it right. I know hawkeye in great detail. I know the rules (I wrote them after all). My previous experience makes me more than qualified for helper.
As a helper in the past, I had the highest modreq count of anyone at all times. As mod, I continued to keep that count up. While it was not as high when I was mod, I began my activity on the forums. For a long time I was one of the only people doing suggestions. There were hundreds of unheard ideas that I sorted through. I also was very active in report a player and ban appeals. As supermod, I wrote the entirety of the new rules (with suggestions and guidance of course). I also wrote a hawkeye guide for new staff (with help from megusta) as well as an in-depth helper guide. I did well more than what was expected and many staff members would attest to this.
I have passion for the job. While it did die out before my resignation, it's something I genuinely enjoy doing and I realize that now. Like I said, I just needed a break. I'm ready to come back. My previous actions speak loudly about everything I'm willing to do if you give me a second chance.
Weaknesses:
Bluntness- As many people know I'm very blunt and it comes off as rude when I don't really mean it to. I can't really help it and I don't realize I'm doing it. Diana tends to keep me in line when this is an issue.
Enemies- Over the past 6 months I have attained a number of people who just hate me. Honestly, I don't care all that much about them but they exist and it can cause problems. I tend to just ignore them.
Activity- My activity will not be the same as it was before. Since I'm working two jobs, I just have a lot less time. However I promise for the times I am there I'm willing to put in work again.
Conclusion:
Perhaps this application sounds a bit needy. Like I need staff. I'll be honest, I do. I miss it. I got lazy at the end of my reign with some of the simpler things like modreqs and reporting bans. I know this won't be a problem anymore. Thank you for considering my application and I hope to be apart of the staff team once again.
