Introduction:
To start things off, I have applied before, but on old version of server, however, I wasn't accepted. I do think I deserve a second chance at this and I would gladly accept the role as helper if given to me. I am an overly responsible person, achieve great things such as a 3.8 GPA with all A's (not trying to boast) and above in my classes. I would never dare turn in an assignment late, and if I have not fully understood the content of what is asked I make sure to get to get informed on the topic. I would never do anything with half effort, I instead go for the gold with every move I make, because one wrong turn and the consequences could be fatal. As well as my serious side, I can prove to have a easy going, relaxed, fun side too! I have recently started pursuing one of my interests, recording and making videos. I have intentions to make videos of the MeepCraft server, and possibly start up my very own YouTube channel. I am currently in school at UW: Madison and I play the alto saxophone in the marching band.
Why I Should be a Helper:
I think I have a fair shot at becoming a helper on the MeepCraft server because in my life outside of gaming I help people year round. Whether this means helping one of peers, or even my roommate with work inside or outside of class, or helping a neighbor by walking their dog or mowing their lawn for free, I have helped people enough to be recognized, rhetorically speaking, with a big green HELPER tag over my head at all times, such as you guys and girls do on MeepCraft. Also speaking from an in game point of view, every time someone asks a question such as "Shout {Name} what is the ingredient for making potions of strength, I have /pm-ed endless numbers of people on how they can solve their problems or even going to them, and helping them in person. I have found that the motto, "The only easy day was yesterday" fits me perfectly. I know this is the motto of the U.S. Navy SEALs, and I'm definitely not saying I am a SEAL, but if you are to think of it the way I do, you would see how it fits me as well. I will plow through a challenge one after another, and if I think it is too hard, I never will give up, I just push myself to try harder because I know that there always will be a new challenge to greet me when I get up the next day.
Weaknesses:
I wish I could say I have no weaknesses, but that would be a lie. Everyone has their own personal strengths and weaknesses. Some of these weaknesses I have could include the time of year. As most people who have been through college or at least a couple years of it should know that when it comes time for exams, you become over encumbered with all the work and studying. However, exams will come and go very fast, and are only time consuming whilst you are in the stage of preparation and studying. These exams also are only once every term and I should only have 2 years left of college, assuming I only decide to go 4 years. Another thing you could consider is my schedule for marching band, this is only a conflict usually for during football season. But when it comes to MeepCraft a weakness I'm not proud to share is that when someone decides to say something rude, I have a tendency to say something rude back, and this sometimes offends people. I have never been banned or temp-banned (thankfully) and I am continuing to try to suppress these reactions.
Originality:
I know this wasn't one of the topics chosen for the application, but I have decided to add it into mine as I feel that when it comes to Minecraft, originality is a huge problem when you see multiple of everything. I like to picture myself as a sort of architect whenever I sit down to play this blissful game. As we all know, originality is what defines a person and it is what they stand for.
Conclusion:
I know that it becomes a huge responsibility to become a helper, but I think I deserve to become a helper. I, for one, love MeepCraft. There are, as I have noticed from looking at the forums and members, not too many helpers/mods/supermods who work/play on the server. This can be a good and bad thing. The good is that it keeps the power restricted to very few, but if there are multiple modreq's out and not many helpers on, this could prove to be catastrophic, and I believe many people would quit, because most people aren't too patient when it comes to games. But I as well believe that if you (mods/helpers) were to accept me, I would do my best to fix any and all problems I come across. In the past year, MeepCraft has been one of the best experiences of my life, including numerous encounters with people I have become both virtual and real life friends with. Thank you so much MeepCraft and all those who have made MeepCraft possible. -Jack Neuens/DiamondViper200
