Hey meep. I understand that since jobs were removed, it has been rather hard to get money. That is why I will list an efficient way for everyone - especially citizens.Strategy 1. Finding and selling gold.
Step 1:
Go to /warp rp until a cave system/ravine/dungeon is found. If not found immediately, repeat the command until you have found one (shouldn't take too long).
Step 2:
Once found a cave system/ravine/dungeon, go mining through it. For a ravine, use a water bucket to get down slowly and watch for any ores you find. They may be gold. As for dungeons and cave systems, choose 1 path and follow that, but if you are really tempted to go both ways, set a home where they split apart (highly not recommended, but it's up to you).
Step 3:
Now, you start the mining part of this 1st way to get money. For maximum efficiency, bring the following items along in order of importance:
• DiamondPickaxe ("Efficiency 5/V, ubreaking 3/III, silk 1/I" or "Efficiency 5/V, ubreaking 3/III, fortune 3/III")
• DiamondArmor ("Prot 4/IV, unbreaking 3/III, respiration 3/III, aqua infinity 1/I helmet" "Prot 4/IV, unbreaking 3/III chestplate" "Prot 4/IV, unbreaking 3/III leggings" "Prot 4/IV, unbreaking 3/III, feather falling 4/I boots"
•Torches (Use only 64 at a time - whenever you need more, do /buy 64 torch 100 - to waste least amount of money)
• DiamondSword ("Sharpness 5/V, fire aspect 2/II, knockback 2/II, looting 3/III, unbreaking 3/III sword" "Sharpness 3/III, fire aspect 2/II, knockback 2/II, looting 3/III, unbreaking 3/III sword" Basically and sharpness sword (3/III - 5/V) with any enchantments on them but best is "Sharpness 5/V, fire aspect 2/II, knockback 2/II, looting 3/III, unbreaking 3/III sword"
• WaterBucket (Bring this to get to places quicker and to put over lava to make obsidian if you run into lava so that you don't die)
• DiamondShovel ("Efficiency 5/V shovel" "Efficiency 5/V, unbreaking 3/III shovel" "Efficiency 5/V, unbreaking 3/III, silk 1/I shovel" "Efficiency 5/V, unbreaking 3/III, fortune 3/III shovel" "("Efficiency 5/V, silk 1/I shovel" "("Efficiency 5, fortune 3/III shovel")
• FlintAndSteel (It is not needed but when you want to get rid of items for more inventory space for better ores and such, you can throw it into the FlintAndSteel after making fire - right clicking stone with FlintAndSteel)
Once gathered all these materials, you are ready to mine.
Step 4:
Once you have found a cave system/ravine/dungeon, start to mine for gold. If you happen to come along any other ores, mine them too. Any spawners you find, type in chatbox "/g Selling tpa to a (mob) spawner for 5k! /msg me! (For elite+ only!)" and it gets money along with gold.
PS:
Mine for around 1-3 hours each time.
Step 5:
Once done mining, buy/make 2 - 4 furnaces for each ore - Iron and Gold. The others you can mine with either fortune or a normal pickaxe - and put 8 coal in every furnace seeing as each coal smelts 8 of an item. The maximum you can fit into a furnace at once is 64. 64 / 8 = 8. - because with a normal pickaxe, you get more experience, same amount, and with a fortune pick, more experience, more of the gem/broken ore. I would suggest 4 for iron and 4 for gold but you may want more of you go power mining (mining really well and getting a lot of ores).
Step 6:
Once all ores are smelted, put them all into your inventory. For the gold, go to /warp bank and sell your gold there. There is a variety of prices from 400 meebles - 450 meebles per ingot, meaning a stack of gold ingots are around 25,000 meebles - 30,000 meebles. To sell your iron that you don't need, there is an iron exchange at Hornemans' town, Horneburg. To get there, type in the chatbox in the following order:
/warp towns
/t spawn Horneburg
Once there, walk forward and you'll see a board with diamond exchange, emerald exchange, and iron exchange. It isn't the best iron exchange, but it works for what you don't need.
So that is the first why to make money on meepcraft without jobs. I have gotten over 300k in one day like this. But now, onto the next strategy.
Strategy 2. Villager trading
Step 1:
Before I start, I want you all to know that you need patience for this. Without patience, you will only receive very little money.
This can work for all, but only if you use it wisely. You first need to find a villager trading area before you can start this. There just so happens to be a free one for everyone to use at "/t spawn Horneburg" so if you need to find out how to get there, check above.
Step 2:
Once at the town, look around you and you will see blocks that spell out "TRADE". Walk on forth into there and then you can start trading. But you'll need to trade items for emeralds first.
Step 3:
There are 3 GOD villagers, which means that you get maximum amount of emeralds from those villagers. There is 1: "Beef God" 2: "Pork God" 3: "Coal God". There will be chest signs for you to be able to buy those 3 items. 64 rawbeef is 64 meebles, 64 pork is 64 meebles and 64 coal is 192 meebles. Since I do not know the exact rules, you should read them before going into trade shop (at the front wall) to know them exactly.
Step 4:
Now, once you have the emeralds, you sell them. If you sell them at "/t spawn Horneburg", you get 3,200 meebles per stack I believe. If you know of a better place to sell them, go ahead. It makes more money? Better for you then.
PS.
Keep in mind, that if you do this for hours upon hours (6 hours+), you can probably make around 600,000 meebles+ a day.
Now for the third, and final way to get money.
Strategy 3. Selling enchanted items
Step 1:
Buy access to or build an grinder/xp farm/whatever you'd like to call it. I would suggest going to "/t spawn Dreamcraft" going down the stairs and when it splits into forward and backward to reach ground level, go backwards and the grinder will be there. The grinder is free so you can go there whenever you need.
Step 2:
Use it for around 1/2 an hour/30 minutes.
Step 3:
Enchant everything you want to with 30 levels. If you want to enchant diamond tools or such for yourself and you finish it, start enchanting books. They can go for around the same amount.
Step 4:
Sell all the items you want to sell for a reasonable price. Try and sell items (mostly books) with good enchants on them such as: Protection 3, Protection 4, Sharpness 3, Sharpness 4, Sharpness 5, Power 5, Power 4, Unbreaking 3, Thorns 2, Thorns 3, Fire aspect 2, Silk touch 1, Fortune 2, Fortune 3, Efficiency 3, Efficiency 4, Efficiency 5, Looting 2, Looting 3, Flame 1, Infinity 1 and Punch 2.
Step 5:
Type in chatbox:
/g Selling (enchant/s) (level enchant/s) book/item for (amount)! Bids start at (amount you want people to pay at the start)! /msg me bids!
The brackets are where you customize it and figure out the best choice according to the book it is. When people bid, then type in chatbox:
/g Selling (enchant/s) (level enchant/s) book/item for (amount)! Bids start at (amount you want people to pay at the start)! /msg me bids! (Name of player with highest bid) at (amount they bid for the item) going once!
After around 10 seconds - 2 minutes without anyone bidding higher, type in chatbox:
/g Selling (enchant/s) (level enchant/s) book/item for (amount)! Bids start at (amount you want people to pay at the start)! /msg me bids! (Name of player with highest bid) at (amount they bid for the item) going twice!!
After another 10 seconds - 2 minutes without anyone bidding higher, type in chatbox:
/g Selling (enchant/s) (level enchant/s) book/item for (amount)! Bids start at (amount you want people to pay at the start)! /msg me bids! (Name of player with highest bid) at (amount they bid for the item) going thrice!!!
Then, if no one else bids by that time, type in chatbox:
/g Selling (enchant/s) (level enchant/s) book/item for (amount)! Bids start at (amount you want people to pay at the start)! /msg me bids! (Name of player with highest bid) at (amount they bid for the item) SOLD!
This can get money quite quickly if you have many things to sell. You can also sell chestfulls of books and sell that for whatever you think is reasonable.
I hope these 3 ways to get meebles aided you on what my intention was: get meebles without jobs.
**NOTE** Please do not ask "What about doing jobs for other people, like plot clearing, plot filling, getting items for others for pay, etc." because it is not really a good way to get meebles. Not many people need help to do that so it won't get you money as fast as these 3 strategies above do.
Enjoy your day everyone and I wish you the best of luck making meebles quickly :D
